MOUAU POSTGRADUATE NEW ADMISSION REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Intending PG students should check ONLINE on the UNIVERSITY PORTAL website as stated below:
www.mouauportal.edu.ng with the online PG Application Number (E.g. PG/APP/2017/00….) to see if they have been given admission.

  1. If Intending PG student has been admitted, he/she proceed to print the online admission letter before accepting the offer of admission.
  2. Once the student has acknowledged the admission, the student can generate RRR code for acceptance fee of 25,000 Naira only online (Ensure the RRR code bears your name).
  3. After paying Acceptance fees, Student proceeds to PG SCHOOL for screening, the collection of hard copy of admission letter and fees advice.
  4. Admitted PG student drops a copy of admission clearance notification slip at MOUAU PG ICT room (Room A5) for online clearance.
  5. Cleared Admitted PG Students should now go online in the University Portal website as stated above to generate Remita RRR code for School Charge Payment.
  6. After payment of School fees charges, PG student proceeds to complete the biodata form, thus generating a MATRICULATION number and a personalized Username and Password for easy access to the Portal website.
  7. The student now proceeds to PG School to submit the following complete documents: Biodata form, photocopies of all Remita payments made and any other documents required by PG School, PGSA dues, Admin fees, etc.
  8. PG students proceed to PG Bursary Unit to pick up Original School fees receipt.
  9. The admitted student now proceed to MOUAU ID Card Capture room at Anyim Pius Building for Student ID Card capturing and issuance upon presentation of the original school fees receipt.

Payment can be done ONLINE from any part of the country using any Bank debit/credit card OR PG student can also pay by generating RRR code and proceed to any commercial bank in the country or the MOUAU Microfinance Bank. (For Remita Payment inquiries, call 07068980033).

PG Students can pay for Accommodation on Campus by requesting/making payments through their personalized PG Students Accounts Area on the Portal Site.

Mouau Postgraduate Form Admission Qualifications:

However, To qualify for M.Sc. admission in Agribusiness and Financial Management options, the candidates must have a minimum of Second Class Honors Lower Division in any Management Science/Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and any relevant course/ or 3.5 and above in Postgraduate Diploma of MOUAU or any other recognized University.

Ph.D. in Agribusiness and Financial Management: A candidate must have obtained a master degree which includes coursework and Research in any options from a recognized University with a CGPA of at least 4.00 (on 5 point scale) or 3.0 (4-Point scale)

NB: There is no direct admission to Ph.D. no matter the class of Degree in the Undergraduate programme.

MOUAU POSTGRADUATE FORM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for admission to a Postgraduate programme of the University, the candidate must possess five O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.

A.   POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)

To be eligible for admission to the PGD programme, candidates must be holders of third class honors first degree in a relevant discipline from any university or holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) at the minimum of upper Credit in a relevant discipline.

For unclassified HND Certificates, a CGPA of 3.5(5- point scale) and 3.00 (4-point scale) or 60% shall be taken as equivalent to upper credit.

B.   MASTERS DEGREE (M.Sc.)

To be eligible for admission to the Master’s degree programme, candidates must.

i.  Be graduates of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike or any other recognized Universities by Senate and shall have obtained the first degree with at least Second Class Honors.

ii. Possess a first degree with Third Class Honors from a recognized University and at least an Upper Credit at Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field, or

iii. Possess the Higher National Diploma (HND), with at least Upper Credit and Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution, or

iv. Any other certificate or qualification that may be acceptable to the Senate.

C.   DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE (Ph.D.).

To be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy degree programme, a candidate shall have obtained a Master’s Degree which includes coursework and research from this or its equivalent from any other University recognized by Senate in relevant disciplines, with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 (5- point scale) or 3.00 (4- point scale).

HOW TO PURCHASE MOUAU POSTGRADUATE FORM 2018/2019

However, the Interested candidate should obtain application forms from the Postgraduate School with ten thousand naira (N10, 000) paid by obtaining RRR (Remita Code) through which payment will be made to the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike at any bank.

With the teller, obtain a receipt from the bursary unit of Postgraduate School.

Also, Completed application forms and all relevant documents should be enclosed in an envelope marked PG Admission and return to:
